Formally, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R with Psychotherapy Privilege) in the State of New York and completed my Masters in Social Work at New York University. I also hold a Masters Degree in Psychology (Research Track towards the PhD) from the New School as well as a Masters in Management (Health Focus) from NYU.  My undergraduate degrees are in History and Political Science. I have continued post graduate education and training via online courses and certifications, including the Seminar in Field Instruction and Post-Masters Certificate in Clinical Supervision also from NYU.  Professionally, I have decades of experience providing individual psychotherapy in both hospital and non-hospital based OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinics in NYS servicing adults and children. Early in my career, I also provided outpatient mental health treatment to justice involved/impacted individuals on federal parole/probation.  I have extensive supervisory experience in these settings and remain very interested in the continued teaching and supervision of social work students. As a bicultural clinician with lived experience, I am especially attuned to the intersection of ethnicity/culture/race/religion that can impact on one’s perception of the world, mental health experiences and am dedicated to providing a safe and collaborative space for exploration of these issues.
